1. BOOKING AND RENTAL
1.1 How can I book a car?
You can book a car through our website, by phone or directly at our rental location. The booking becomes binding once we have confirmed it and/or the required payment has been made according to our terms. If you provide your contact details, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.
1.2 What are the requirements for the driver?
The driver must have:
- a valid driving licence
- at least one (1) year of driving experience
- the minimum age required by the rental company (shown during booking)
Only drivers listed in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle.
1.3 Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, you can change or cancel your booking within the limits of our terms.
- Cancellations made within the specified time limit before the rental starts may be free of charge
- For late cancellations or no-shows, we may charge a cancellation fee according to our price list or at least one day’s rental fee
Exact cancellation times and fees are shown during the booking process and in our price list.
1.4 What documents do I need when picking up the car?
Please bring:
- a valid driving licence
- an additional ID if needed (e.g. passport)
- for business customers, any required company details / authorization
You will also need an accepted payment card to pay the rental and any security deposit.
2. VEHICLE USE AND RETURN
2.1 How is the car handed over and inspected?
The rental company hands over the car in roadworthy condition, compliant with the law and equipped as agreed, at the agreed time and place.
- We inspect the vehicle before handover
- You must also inspect the vehicle when you collect it and immediately report any existing damage or defects
This ensures that both parties have a clear understanding of the vehicle’s condition at the start of the rental.
2.2 How should I return the car?
The car must be returned:
- to the agreed location and at the agreed time
- with all accessories and keys
- with at least the same fuel level as at handover (or with a full tank, if agreed)
The rental period ends when the car and keys have been returned or when you have notified us that the car has been returned to a return location approved by the rental company.
2.3 What happens if I return the car late?
If the car is returned late without an agreed extension of the rental period, the rental company has the right to:
- charge the full rental fee for the delay period
- charge compensation for any additional costs caused by the delay
If the car is not returned at all and no extension has been agreed, the rental company has the right to report the matter to the police.
3. DAMAGES, FINES AND LIABILITY
3.1 Who is responsible for parking tickets and fines?
The renter is always responsible for all charges incurred during the rental period, including:
- parking and parking violation fees
- private parking control fees
- speeding and other traffic fines
- overloading fees, road tolls and congestion charges
By signing the rental agreement, you authorize the rental company to provide your details to the authorities for the purpose of imposing these charges. We may also charge reasonable administrative fees related to these payments.
3.2 What should I do if I have an accident or the car is damaged?
Always follow these steps:
- First ensure everyone’s safety
- Call the emergency number 112 if needed
- Inform the rental company immediately
- Inform the police in case of a traffic accident, crime, personal injury or injury to an animal
- Complete the written damage report as instructed by the rental company
The sooner you inform us, the better we can help and minimise any additional damage.
3.3 How much is the excess (deductible) in case of damage?
The amount of the excess is specified in the rental agreement.
- The excess is charged separately for each damage incident
- In some cases, the excess can be reduced or waived for an additional fee
However, the limitation of liability does not apply to damage caused, for example, by incorrect fuel, smoking in the vehicle, loss of keys, intentional or grossly negligent behaviour, or driving under the influence – in such cases you are fully liable for all costs.
4. PAYMENT AND OTHER QUESTIONS
4.1 How can I pay for the rental?
You can pay:
- on site when collecting the car, using an accepted payment card or other agreed payment method
- online at the time of booking, using the payment methods offered by the rental company
The rental company has the right to make a pre-authorization (security deposit) on your payment card to cover the estimated rental fee and any additional charges.
4.2 Can the rental company charge additional fees after the rental?
Yes, if there is a valid reason according to the rental terms. The rental company may charge the payment card specified in the agreement for example:
- the excess in case of damage
- missing fuel and a refuelling service fee
- additional rental fees due to extension of the rental period
- parking and other charges mentioned in the terms, including administrative fees
The final invoice is calculated after the rental, and you accept this when entering into the rental agreement.
4.3 What happens if I leave personal items in the car?
The rental company is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle.
- If personal belongings are found after the car has been returned, we may store them for a reasonable period
- Items are returned to the owner once identity and ownership have been reliably verified
- A reasonable handling and shipping fee may be charged for storing and forwarding lost property
